Ceresin is a wax, white to yellow in color, a mixture of hydrocarbons, usually obtained when ozokerite (A natural clay) purification process is carried out. It improves suspension properties, viscosity, and stability of skin care preparation. It is used in a wide variety of formulations including body care, skin care, hair care, makeup related as well as sun protection products.

Lanolin is a natural Emollient. Lanolin locks moisture into the skin, extremely rejuvenating and healing, allows the skin the moisturize itself from within. In general, those with dry or damaged skin would benefit most from using lanolin products.

Mineral Oil locks moisture into the skin, softens skin, and improves skin barrier function. It has been recommended that mineral oil be used for those with dry, sensitive skin, and it can even be used in those with conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. Mineral oil is not only a good moisturizing ingredient, but it also has a very low risk of allergic reactions or irritation.

Paraffin wax is often applied to the hands and feet. The wax is a natural emollient, helping make skin supple and soft. When applied to the skin, it adds moisture and continues to boost the moisture levels of the skin after the treatment is complete.

It can also help open pores and remove dead skin cells. That may help make the skin look fresher and feel smoother.

Phenoxyethanol is primarily used for its anti-microbial properties. These properties help to prevent the growth of yeast, bacterial organisms and molds. This extends the shelf life of the product, helps to keep it safe for use and prevent user contamination. Phenoxyethanol, has in recent times, been used as a substitute for parabens.

Petrolatum can be used on skin in need of hydration and/or protection on any part of the body. It was originally promoted as a topical ointment for its healing properties. Hydrophor™️ benefits come from its main ingredient petrolatum, which helps seal your skin with a water-protective barrier. This helps your skin heal and retain moisture.
